Per-Anger

Second Secretary of the Swedish Legation in Budapest, was honored as Righteous Among the Nations on April 28, 1981 for his role in assisting Raoul Wallenberg’s efforts to save Hungarian Jews in German-occupied Budapest in 1944-1945. Anger issued provisional Swedish passports; employed and hid Jews in Swedish-protected houses; and risked his life to remove Jews from labor battalions, death marches, and transports to killing centers.
