Eduardo-Propper-de-Callejon

First Secretary of the Spanish Embassy in Paris, left Paris along with the other diplomatic offices following the fall of France in 1940. Arriving at the new seat of the Vichy government in Bordeaux, de Callejon opened the abandoned Spanish consulate and stamped passports for days before he was transferred to Spanish Morocco. Though he continued to serve in the Foreign Ministry, he was never promoted, likely as a result of his actions to benefit Jews. He was honored as Righteous Among the Nations on March 12, 2008.
